I always think of Cheech and Chong's Big Bamboo album when I drive by Dave's. For those of you too young to know C&C, they were hysterical back when I was a youngster.
Groovy is back in style, man. I've had this cache since 03/29/2007 and decided it's time to release it. Thanks to Dave for ignoring the fact that I needed permission to place it here on his landlord's property. Peace. And welcome to the world's largest collection of peace symbols. At least according to Dave. UPDATE: I am terribly saddened by the passing of Dave. He was a kick to chat with and has a great little store. June 12, 2012 The owner of a popular Poconos collectibles shop died Tuesday morning while awaiting surgery. Dave Danowitz, better known as “Tie-Dye Dave,” owner of Tie-Dye Dave's Hippie Gift Shop in Tannersville, died at St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem around 3:15 a.m. Judith Thompson, his mother, said Danowitz, 44, had been waiting for a heart procedure Tuesday morning when he had a heart attack and died. “He was special,” Thompson said. “That's the best way I can describe him. Special. There wasn't another person like him. I don't know anyone who won't miss him.” More on Dave: https://www.poconorecord.com/article/20120613/NEWS/206130330%3ftemplate=ampart
