A Bob Dylan tribute multicache situated on the proposed Deeside Way west of Aberdeen on the trackbed of the old Royal Deeside Railway
The Royal Deeside Railway from Aberdeen to Ballater opened in 1853 and closed in 1966. In recent years the 6-mile suburban stretch of the railway from Aberdeen to Culter has been resurfaced and is now used extensively for leisure purposes including walking, cycling and horseriding. More recently, plans have been developed to formalise the paths on the trackbed west of Culter to create a “Deeside Way” which will run through to Banchory and beyond. Several stretches of his path are now well established. Further information can be found here

Original "clues" now gone so cache details updated to make this a regular cache
As you head west from Culter you cross the Culter Burn and pass between Burnside and Kennerty. These were the sites of some of the many mills which flourished in Culter. To the north you may see the new housing development which was built on the site of Bartholomew Smith’s Culter Paper Mills which closed in 1981 (visit link)
After this you leave the city behind and head up and out into rural Aberdeenshire. To the north lies the distinctive pumping station built in the style of Belskavie Tower, a lookout tower for the nearby Drum Castle, and the tower itself
The remains of the Normandykes Roman Marching Camp are up the hill to the south.
Return from the cache is via the same route.
When sited the cache contained a Fallow deer badge, a Beannie token, a Grease badge, a Polished stone, a Rubber ball, a Yo-yo, a Folding ruler, Pencils and my Bob Dylan TB which hopes to be reunited with its owner and all the other Dylan fans at the Gathering of the Glens 2 in Glen Clova August 2007
There may not be a useable pen or pencil in the cache so please take your own
