Geocache Description:

The cache is NOT located at the coordinates above. You must solve for them.

Here are some basic things to consider about the Penguin Cryptography Caches:

1) Each puzzle will be an encryption, however you will not need a Cray X1E Supercomputer to solve them. All you will need is your computer, the Internet, a pen, paper and a keen mind.

2) I will happily confirm your co-ordinates privately if you can tell me how you came about the numbers or identify a major landmark.

3) Please don’t put too much information in your logs to preserve the puzzle for other cache seekers.

4) While researching this puzzle, you might need to learn new phrases, words, or facts. Be careful! Don’t grow too much in one sitting.

What gets your blood pumpin'?

I remember my first kiss...that was exciting. I was clumsy and rushed it, but luckily, she did too. I was bad enough for both of us. But since it was each of our first time we had nothing to compare to. Sometimes I think I'd like to go back to that girl and show her how much I've improved. But who are we kidding? I've not improved much.

I remember my first roller coaster ride with my wife. We picked a wicked one for her first time with loops, cobra rolls and 'sky kicking'. What a monster we created, because as much as she screamed her head off, she wants to ride every coaster she sees.

But not all memories are exciting ones. I remember college when I was listening to a history professor telling us all about some 16th century French diplomat that died of throat cancer in '96. Who cares? I dropped that class so fast the books never left the store then I went out for a smoke.

But what about that first Geocache find? That was pretty exciting huh? And for some of us, each find is something special and still roils our spirit. In fact, I just nabbed a simple cache and it made my heart leap. Just a magnetic along a guardrail. Nothing special, right? But there I was, feeling pure joy at finding something 99% of the people in the world don't even know exists right under it's nose.

And when I harvested my first deer I couldn't stop shaking for nearly an hour afterward. I took her with a borrowed Mossburg 500 up in a treestand. The next deer was an 8 point buck that I harvested the following year with my Rapture bow from the ground. Again, the shaking, tingling and excitement washed over me. I was providing for my family in the most primal way. Talk about an adrenaline rush!!

Hearing a song I wrote on the radio and seeing my first article in print were beyond description. So much time and energy went into those efforts and to see them succeed in their own rite were amazing feelings and I wish that my wife could have been there when they happened. Those are the moments you are supposed to share with the ones you love right?

And finally, the birth of our first child. That was very exciting. Words cannot describe it. There was so much stuff going on. A bunch of people milling around knowing exactly what they were doing and there was me. With no clue what was going on, I was spouting words of encouragement, feeling more than a little helpless that I can't do anything to help my beloved wife other than coach her. I did a pretty good job of that, but seeing someone you love so much in that much discomfort knowing that you can do nothing about it is a rush of emotion that just slammed up against my dam of "lets just get through this". Pressure building and rising...And then... Seeing the little guy in the hands of the doctor and finding out for the first time his gender. Proudly announcing the the entire room 'IT'S A BOY!!!!!!' That was the most awesome feeling in the world. That dam finally burst and all the emotion, fear, concern, confusion, and love just flowed out of me. Good energy and bad streaming like a flood. Relief and excitement all at the same time. I remember calling our family and barely containing the tremble in my voice, hoping they couldn't hear the tears running down my cheeks.

Now I think of you. When you solve this cypher, you will feel something. Maybe you'll feel relief, maybe you'll be exhausted, or perhaps, you'll feel a joy of knowing you met the challange and conquered it. Some of you will even do a happy dance or pump your fist into the air. Yeah, it's hard. But when you crack it...that's when you get that buzz. That's the payoff. Aren't we all addicted to that rush? Get to work...knock this one out of the park and beat your chest in pride. Then, catch your breath, and grab that smiley!
