THIS IS A NEW ROUTE IT STARTS FROM RAVENSCRAIG TO STRATHCLYDE PARK.THIS PATH FOLLOWS CLOSE TO THE BANKS OF SOUTH CALDER RIVER.
THIS WALK WAY IS DESIGNATED AS A SINC (SITE OF IMPORTANCE FOR NATURE CONSERVATION) BY SCOTTISH NATURAL HERITAGE. IT CONTAINS A LOCALLY RARE SPIECES OF WILDFLOWER AND BUTTERFLY ORCHID THERE IS ALSO AN INCREDIBLE DIVERSTY OF WILDLIFE IN THE AREA.
WHILE ON THE WALKWAY YOU CAN SEE THE WEIR WHICH ONCE ACCOMPANIED HOLMFORGE MILL ON THE BANKS OF THE SOUTH CALDER RIVER.
