Kartu som fiskeläget heter på gutamål, har troligen funnits sedan medeltiden. Här uppförde Ruteborna sina bodar för övernattning. De flesta brann ner någon gång efter sekelskiftet 1900. Det enda ålderdomliga kvarvarande bod är uppförd av murad kalksten med tak av falbrädor. I ruinerna efter de andra bodarna kan man fortfarande se nischerna för matskrinen och platsen där eldstaden legat. Läs mer om denna plats på anslaget vid kalkstensboden. Nere vid stranden till höger om boden finner du kallkällan ” Grete” med bänk och informationsskylt. Cachen är placerad på behörigt avstånd från ”Grete” och innehåller en loggremsa. Eng: ”Kartu , as the fishing village is called in Gotland, has probably existed since the Middle Age. Here the citizens from Rute built their sheds for sleeping overnight. Most of the sheds burnt down some time after year 1900. The only old shed remaining is built of limestone-bricks with a roof of “falbräder” , (a special type of board). In the ruins of the other sheds you can see niches for the food-boxes and the fireplaces. At the beach, to the right from the shed, you can see the spring “Grete”. Here is a bench and information board. The cache is placed in proper distance from “Grete” and contains a log.
