Geocache Description:

This is part of a series to celebrate the old railway stations of the West Country that for one reason or another are no longer with us.
Ottery St Mary was opened on 6.7.1874 and was on the branch line which ran from Sidmouth Junction (now Feniton) to Sidmouth and Exmouth.
It was run by the LSWR but owned and maintained by the Sidmouth Railway Company.
It was closed to passengers on 6.3.1967 and then closed completely on 8.5.1967.
