Located on the Waimano Falls Trail. This is a difficult trail to hike and is not for those looking for an easy score.
We named this the "Home From Iraq" cache because "Pops" is on R&R and leaving again tomorrow. We decided to place our first cache and make it a good one. You can follow the instuctions in Stewart Ball's "Hikers Guide to Oahu" pg. 119 Waimano Pool.
You will have to work a little for this cache. The trail is steep and sometimes muddy. Go only if the weather looks good. This spot looks like a popular swimming hole but I never see anyone else there during the week.
The cache is in an old green mortar can located past the bottom pool.

On a final note, you must negotiate "Cardiac Hill"...downhill and back up. It is steep and lives up to its name.
