Leads to Something Bigger II Traditional Cache
HendyFam: Sadly, we're going to archive this one. Had a good run, but the area has changed over the years, and with it's latest disappearance, we haven't been able to find a good hiding spot close enough to the original placement to keep it as the same cache. Once its original hiding spot decomposed, it made it a lot more difficult to find a place close to the trail that also wouldn't attract too much muggle attention.

This cache takes you on a scenic walk straight to the middle of South Run Stream Valley Park. There is a level paved trail that runs through the park, making it great for bike riding, walking the dog, or just taking a stroll.
The cache is a good sized (8"x8"x10") Lock & Lock container. Once you get there, it should be pretty easy to figure out where the cache is--it's very close to the trail. So keep an eye out for others approaching, and make sure it's well hidden when you return it! The terrain is rated 1.5 because the round trip hike is about a mile and a half (depending on your entry point)--it's all flat and paved.
There are multiple ways to get into this park. (See parking waypoints.) If you start at the Hooes Road parking area, it's just short of a mile walk to Stage 2--and you can get our Elephant's Foot (GCVCQY) cache at the same time! You can also park on Newington Forest Road, and walk in from there, but the path is very steep going down; kids should walk their bikes up or down. You will pass small playgrounds coming in from either of those two entrances.
Please do not bushwhack into or through the park! At the request of the Fairfax County Park Authority, the cache has been placed very close to the paved trail.
This cache replaces the original "Leads to Something Bigger" (GCVEDB), which was a multi-cache before muggles seem to have discovered stage 1. After scouting out the area, we couldn't find another suitable stage 1 location close enough to not have to go through FCPA approval again. So, stage one was eliminated, and we left stage two (which was the final stage) as just a traditional cache.
***If you previously logged a find to Leads to Something Bigger, feel free to go ahead and log this as "found" to clear it off your "caches to do" list so you don't have to actually go and find the same cache again. We won't delete your log.***
