Geocache Description:

This is an easy three-stage cache located on state land west of Hayes Tower Road, which is a mix of piney woods, oil wells, powerlines and dirt trails.

The above coordinates are to the first stage. The first two stages are micros. The third and final stage is a small ammo box, full of goodies, pens, log book and an FTF prize. CONGRATS TO PEPSIMAN FOR FTF! ALSO CONGRATS TO HIM FOR HEADING TO THE CACHE WITHIN 15 MINUTES OF POSTING--HE SHOULD BE AN EMERGENCY RESPONDER! The coordinates for the first and final stages should be good, but I had some difficulty with stage 2, had an EPE of 25 feet. If you are struggling, check the hint and widen your search.

ALSO--THERE IS A HUNTING TREE STAND VERY CLOSE TO STAGE 2. I WILL BE DISABLING THE CACHE COME HUNTING SEASON.

This cache is in honor of the Falling Sky, as in "the sky is falling, the end is near!" Think of Chicken Little!

Well, truly the end times are upon us as the signs are increasingly present: the Michigan Wolverines lose to Appalachian State; wars and rumors of war abound; Santa Claus is being driven out of his North Pole residence because of global warming and rising seas; plague and pestilence have arrived in beautiful Northern Michigan!

A classy cacher, Pepsiman, has spread the burbanic luminarepostus virus; he placed a LAMP POST CACHE FOR GAWD'S SAKE RIGHT HERE IN GAYLORD! That's bad enough, but a two-headed dinosaur was drawn to the LAMP POST and collected a smilie! Hysteria has descended upon an area church(another clear sign of the Apocaplypse) and actually brushed by the LAMP POST in a preliminary foray (probably was looking to spook the dinosaur). Somebody is going about the Grim task of hiding micros in the deep woods, and sightings of Sturgeon, a prehistoric fish, have been on the rise. Sadly, sightings of the endangered Wabbit have become quite rare. There are rumors about a Mad Max-type Captain, last spotted on a remote Lake Huron Island, huddling with his band of self-described "miscreants" and imbibing in something called "Bud" to relieve the pain.

These are all portents of The End! I can feel the infection spreading through my bloodstream....and spreading further north...lamp posts, whereever there is a lamp post! To control myself ("the horror, oh, the horror!), I have decided to put out several new caches, including this one!

Enjoy! And, by the way, Pepsiman's "Say It Isn't So" cache is the only lamp post cache that made me laugh!
