Caching Massive in Doncaster Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Mr Truffles: Visited the cache site this morning I am sorry to say hatv it has indeed gone. The developers have moved further onto the old power station site and the cache site is now flat. The cache will be in the pile of debris nearby but I'm not inclined to get through the fence and search. many thanks to all who have visited.

Geocache Description:

This cache is now a stand alone cache that was once part of the Caching Massive in South Yorkshire multi cache series. The cache is situated in within the Doncaster area.

The cache is located by the side of a footpath along the canal towpath about half a mile from the Ferryboat Inn and locks at Mexborough. Parking is available fifty yards from the Ferryboat Inn on the main road near to the St John the Baptist Church – N53 29.558 W001 16.653. Walk to the canal by the side of the Ferryboat, cross the white painted bridge and head for the cache on a busy path along a wide stretch of the canal. For those who want to look the River Don is just over the banking to the right.

Ignore the clue in the front of the log book as it related to the Caching Massive in South Yorkshire main cache.

The cache box is a 1 litre tupperware style box covered in cammo tape containing a geocaching information card, FTF card, log book, pencil, sharpener and assorted goodies.
