The Big Boy began with Bob Wian in Glendale, California. Bob sold his car for $350.00 and opened a small restaurant called Bob’s Pantry. He named his famous hamburger concoction "Big Boy" after a chubby young boy who came into his restaurant inspired him with his chubbiness.
