Geocache Description:

This multi cache is located close to one of South Australia's fabulous landmarks - Martindale Hall.

Due to the successful film,Picnic at Hanging Rock,it's also known as one of 'Australia's Best Known Houses' worldwide.

Built by Edmund Bowman (1855-1921) it's such a romantic and historical setting. The Bowman brothers were renowned pastoralists and prominent builders, other well known houses being Barton Vale at Enfield,Werocata Homestead and Pareora.

If you are planning some time up this way, an internet search will give you the opening times of Martindale Hall.

It's hours do vary, so always check first.

When you arrive at WP1 you will locate a plaque, it will help you with the coordinates needed to find GZ.

WP1 and GZ are only a short distance from one another.

You will need to find the missing numbers for the following

S 33 56 - - -

Use the 1st number in the year as your 1st number

Add the 1st and 4th number of the year for your 2nd number

Use the 3rd number of the year for your 3rd number

E 138 44 - - 1

Use the date April -- to fill in these 2 final numbers

I used to spend a lot of time around GZ when I was young and loved going to the Hall with my Grandmother, especially for picnics.

The creeks around this location were so much fun and I remember catching heaps of frogs as a child.

Cache contains Log Book, stash note and small swaps

I really should have placed this on Valentine's Day :)

Enjoy the Cache and this fabulous historical location.

And please, no screaming - 'Miranda', coz the neighbours might hear you!
