Geocache Description:

A good walk away from the crowds. A remote location in the Brecon Beacons. Good mountain walking terrain with the added excitement of finding a cache. Be prepared for harsh conditions in changeable weather.

The area around the cache location is where the limestone of the western Brecon Beacons reaches the surface. This particular stream sink takes a surprising amount of water during rainy periods, not unusual for this area. The water surfaces close to the Twrch River further to the east and at a lower elevation. No known cave connects the sink and the resurgence although there are many exciting vertical caves in this area.

You may be able to discern the high water mark by the debris that surrounds the sink. During dry spells the water sinks further upstream. The cache hide is above this high water mark.

The name reflects the fact that water sinks underground at this point and also follows a theme created by the nearby 'Twrch Toilet' cache. Any suggestions for the location of Twrch Bath?
