Bookmarks the Spot is a series of caches to show our appreciation of libraries and the Whatcom County Library System (WCLS). There are caches hidden at eight of the Whatcom County libraries—Blaine, Deming, Everson, Ferndale, Lynden, Maple Falls, Sumas, and Point Roberts—with future plans for a ninth cache at the Lummi Island library.
These caches all have been stocked with bookmarks for trading. Please bring a bookmark with you to exchange. If you don’t have one, still help yourself to a bookmark, but please keep non-bookmark trades to a minimum (travel bugs and coins are welcome!). Also, let us know if the stock is getting low, and we’ll replenish them.
The Bookmarks the Spot caches form a puzzle that will lead to the coordinates of a mystery cache, Bookmarks the Spot—The Final Chapter. The clues can be found written on the underside of each library cache container’s lid. DON’T FORGET TO WRITE DOWN THE CLUE!
FTF Information:
Congrats to Lola & The Gnome for FTF for this cache. It was Lola's first FTF, so I'm sure it meant a lot to her...
The bonus mystery cache, Bookmarks the Spot—The Final Chapter, held a $20 Barnes and Noble gift certificate for the FTF cacher. It was found by Half-Canadian and Scooter the Wonder Dog, with only a couple Bookmarks the Spot caches under their belts, and some wise puzzle solving skills.
