Montecello Iron Furnace Traditional Cache
coachsms: As I get older and I don't cache as much as I use to I'm starting to Archive the caches that come up missing or need replaced. They have all run their course and were fun to hide. Thanks to all that came to this area for a smiley.

Nice easy walk along the Armstong Trail
The trail parking is located at the Snyder Park Picnic area. Use caution while crossing the road. Cache is located a short distance off the trail. It is a well camo'd micro container. I enjoyed hiding this one. I feel it's a little more difficult than my other caches, that's why the 3.5 rating. As always please replace container in the same location and close tightly.
The Montecello Iron Furnace Was built by Robert Brown in 1859. During it's time the furnace produced mass amounts of pig iron that supplied markets in pittsburgh and Kittanning . The furnace was shut down in 1875.
For more information about the Armstrong Trail and the Montecello Furnace log into the Armstrong Trail website at www.armstrongtrail.org. This is a great place to fish, bicycle, and picnic.
