Geocache Description:

A large cache in Yakima Delta.

The name of this cache came from winning a large ammo box at the first GCSEWA meeting that we went to shortly after beginning geocaching. Caliber had everyone guess how many caches Team Alamo, the geocachers with the highest number of finds, had at that point. Our wild guess of something over 18,000 turned out to be the closest. Must have been beginner’s luck. Thanks to Caliber for providing the ammo box.

This is a large ammo box measuring 14” X 13” X 6”. The location is a ways off of the main trails. Nearby caches in this part of the Yakima Delta that you may also want to check out include Yakima Delta - Bonus Cache and Valley View.

The original contents of the cache is:
• Two rolls of L. L. Bean Camo Duct Tape
• A plastic, magnetic key case (for one of those sneaky micros)
• A small flashlight with batteries
• A small film canister-sized screwtop container
• A Rawlings baseball
• A Slinky
• A musical top
• A bag of multi-colored glass beads
• A chunk of petrified wood
• Several polished and tumbled stones including: crystal quartz, labradorite, snowflake obsidian, and blue chalcedony.
