Geocache Description:

This has been a favourite place to stop since before our children were born. Room for a picnic, great playground, clean toilets and established trees. Grab a coffee and lunch from the small cafes in the town, or bring a thermos and picnic.

This is the first cache in Adaminaby, because I couldn't bear to see the town without one. The township was placed here during the Snowy Mountains scheme, after it was decided that the site for the enormous Lake Eucumbene would be near Old Adaminaby and the town would be submerged. Many buildings were moved here from the old township. Pictures of this can be seen in the building on the opposite corner.

We love the Big Fish, given a facelift a few years ago. The cache is not on the fish, so no climbing please. Enjoy your stopover in Adaminaby. You will need to bring your own pencil/pen.

Given a number of DNFs I have added a second clue to save you going away without a find.

Also visit our nearby cache at Drowned Town (GC120JN).
