Norwegian description
Denne ganske enkle multicachen ligg i eit idyllisk område i
Skodje Kommune. Ved å gå ein liten tur rundt i området vil ein fort
finne svar på spørsmåla som leier til dei riktige koordinatane til
sjølve cachen. Cachen er ein 10x15x3cm vanntett plastikk boks. Når
du har funne cachen kan du bruke litt ekstra tid på å fiske litt i
straumen og grille i fjøra.
Skodje kommune er kjent for dei vakre bruene over
Skodjestraumen, og brua i kommunevåpenet er henta herifrå.
Skodje bru, som var ferdigstilt i 1922, skal vere den største
buebrua i Skandinavia, og er eit arkitektonisk og handverksmessig
meisterverk. No er den gamle brua stengt for biltrafikk, og ei ny
bru, Straumsbrua, vart teken i bruk frå 3. juli 2004. Skodje bru er
blitt gang- og sykkelveg, og skal takast vare på som kulturminne.
Du finn mellom anna eit utkikkspunkt og parkeringsplass på nordsida
av nybrua. Det er her også lagt til rette for funksjonshemma. Den
nye brua har fortau og er opplyst, og den gamle brua vil bli
lyssett for at den skal kome til sin rett også på kveldstid.
Skodjestraumen er også ein flott stad for dykking. På grunn av
den sterke straumen under bruene vil du kunne sjå fargerike
anemonar og anna rikt sjøliv der.

English description
This quite easy multicache is situated in idyllic surroundings
in Skodje. By taking a short stroll around the bridges, you will
quickly and easily find the answers to the quite easy questions
that lead you to the correct cache coordinates.
The box itselv is a 10x15x3cm watertight plastic container.
When you’ve found the cache we'd recommend doing some fishing
and barbequing on the shoreline!
Skodje is known for the beautiful bridges over Skodjestraumen, a
straight with strong currents. The oldest bridge is also a symbol
that is reflected in the municipality sign. The bridge, which was
finished in 1922, are supposed to be the largest highest arched
stone bridge in Scandinavia and is an architectonic
masterpiece.
Today these bridges are closed for motorized vehicles, and a new
bridge that crosses the currents was opened in July 2004. The old
bridges are now turned into cycling and walking paths, and are
supposed to be taken care of for future generations. A general
viewpoint of all the bridges was also established when the new
bridge was built. This viewpoint is also handicap friendly. The new
bridge has a sidewalk and is fully lit. The old bridges will in the
future become lit as well so that one can enjoy the view of the
bridges at night as well.
The currents below the bridges are also a great place to go
diving. Because of the strong currents you will find a wide variety
of colourful anemones and rich sealife.
