The Rocky Valley trail is a 2 mile loop with a 1/2 mile spur trail
at the half-way point that makes a steep climb up to the East
Quarry.
It's a great spot for a picnic away from the majority of the
crowds that are often found on the mountain at the other side of
the park or to just relax and watch the boats floating up and down
the river.
Starting from the Pinnacle Mountain State Park visitor center
you might be able to get to this cache and find it in under an hour
with a brisk walking pace and a little luck, but you should plan on
a little more time. The park closes one hour after scientific
sunset, so know what time the sun sets on the day you seek the
cache and plan accordingly.
