Geocache Description:

This is a nano cache. This park is located in the Historic District of Thomasville. There is no need to wander onto the yard of the neighboring home to find the cache. Parking is available just south of the park.

J.N Hauss was the second Superintendent of the new Thomasville City Schools system when it first begun. He faithfully served the schools for 32 years in this position. Upon his retirement, the grateful citizens of Thomasville raised money and purchased 1,000 books, therefore creating the first library for the schools.

This park is where Mr. Hauss' home stood. The park has a plaque detailing more about Mr. Hauss and his home. It also has a "joggling" bench at the back of the park in memory of one of the town's respected doctors and city councilmen.
