Geocache Description:

Shafer Meadows Birthday Cache.

I don't really know how best to describe how to find this cache. I flew into the grass strip at Shafer Meadows and then hiked up on to Lodgepole to hide it. As far as I know, the nearest road is over 15 miles away. You can hike in, come in with horses, or fly into the little grass runway. For this reason, it is difficult to rate the difficulty. It is not hard to get the cache, but the distance is great. You will want water on the hike. From the ranger station it is an 8-mile round trip hike (on the trail) to the cache. I highly recommend that you try to find it. This is one of the nicest places I have seen.

I came from Boston on my birthday to hide it.
