Geocache Description:

Cache placed on route to the Lost World Plateau, Starting from the O'Reilly's Guest house and following the Border Track & Albert River Circuit to Echo Point where the formed track ceases and the rough bush track starts behind the bush campsite.

The trek to Mt Worendo can be completed in a full days bush walk, but as the section past Echo Point is "off track" a high level of bushwalking experience is required. Do not venture off track unless letting someone know your intentions and you are equipped with compass, topographic map, suitable clothing, food, water etc. The Track to Mt Worendo follows a rough track well known to bushwalkers of the area, which has off shoots to the Lost World Plateau, "Rat-A-Tat Hut" and the "Stinson Wreck".

The cache is located inside the hollow trunk of the Antarctic Beech tree found at the true summit of Mt Worendo. It is a medium size sistema container with a log book and pencil.
