Geocache Description:

Traditional cache located on a public bridlepath.

Carnaby Temple was built by the Strickland family of Boynton Hall in the 18th century. It was briefly used as a lookout post during World War II, but basically it is just a folly. It is octagonal and supposed to be loosely based on the Greek Temple of the Four Winds.

Parking is available on Woldgate (N54° 05.243 W0° 15.557) and the cache is approx 1/3 mile from here.

The cache is a plastic box with locking flaps and originally contained: -
Light stick
Electronic data organizer
Scout badge
Blue stickers
2x AA batteries
Snooker chalk
Compass
Pen
Land Rover key ring
Padlock

Please take care when replacing the cache to not damage the box.

THERE IS NO NEED TO ENTER THE BUILDING TO FIND THE CACHE.
