South Platte/Frontz Pony Express

Frontz's/South Platte Station site is one of two stations within Colorado and was presumably two miles east of present Julesburg, in Sedgwick County. Sources generally agree on its identity as Frontz's or South Platte. This marker  identifies the site as South Platte Station and another marker at the site states it is Butte Station, which other historians list as a separate ranch known as Butt's or Burt's.  Little more is known about this Pony Express station. This marker is located 1.5 miles north of the original station and was put in place in 1932 by the Deuel County (Nebraska) Historical Society.  Although the Pony Express had a short span of time, there is plenty of history and speculation about it's details.

Should be an easy find.

Other caches close are 'Lot Lizzard' (Big Springs/I80), 'Where the Handle Meets the Pan',

and two in Big Springs itself, 'Sam Bass and the Great Train Robbery, & 'Some BS about BS'.

As usual hide as good or better.
