Imagine if Elvis had met Robert Preston in the early 1960's while they made their movies "Blue Hawaii" and "The Music Man". Well, I think this is the exact kind of place they might have sat down together and enjoyed listening to some music. Hey, they were both Music Men in their own ways, right?
Case in point -
Elvis' "Blue Hawaii" was released on November 22nd, 1961. Although Elvis' movie was by no means an Oscar contender, It did win a Grammy for "Best Soundtrack".
Robert Preston's, "The Music Man" was released June 19th, 1962. Robert Preston's movie didn't win a Grammy, but it was Oscar worthy, and it did win one for "Best Music/Scoring of Music".
