This is a fun cache with just enough adventure. The canoe landing nearby allows parking and there are nice bathrooms in the lot. Cache is placed in wooded area and camouflaged, but terrain is pretty mild. The convenient parking makes it a nice cache to hit anytime.
The cache is a camoflauged container that is covered. This is a very kid friendly cache, just be cautious of the river. Cache box is weather proof filled with cache souvenirs. This cache was adopted from Team Gypsy who maintained it for the first several years. The river provides some of the best fishing, canoeing, and kayaking in the area. The cache is located in the Brule River State Forest. Please leave a comment in the log book. Pen and waterproof notebook for room to write. Enjoy!! Please note large groups can be present due to canoe drop offs. Timing is key to avoid cache being disturbed. There is a great bench to read a book not too far away. Wisconsin DNR requires notification of the appropriate Land Manager. Notification was sent to Brule River State Forest Superintendent Steve Peterson on 04/11/07.
