A two stage multi on the Emeryville peninsula
Protecting the Emeryville marina to the north is a combination breakwater/pier. The pier section is approximately .13 mile long. There used to be a cache on the original pier, but the pier had to be replaced and that cache is no more. The new breakwater/pier took 6 months and 5.9 million dollars to build. It was completed in March 2007 and was cacheless. At the foot of the pier are many places to hide a cache but it's too close to another cache. Out on the pier, where it's far enough, I can't find any hiding spots, so I'm doing a multi.
The coordinates for the cache are N37 50.1A3 W122 18.1B7. To get A and B, count the sides of the last section of concrete on the pier. Don't forget to count the long side. To that number add 3 for A, and add 2 for B. Checksum for A+B=17 The distance between stage one and cache is 1.1 miles. Not crow fly distance, walking and driving distance.
There is a public restroom at: N37 50.401 W122 18.880.
