Geocache Description:

There is more to Toora than wind farms. This quite scenic area has many attractions including emerald green rolling hills, an abundance of birds and a stanniferous site, which was where the original “Toora, Toora, Toora” cache was placed

The word 'toora' is said to be an Aboriginal instruction which translates as 'woman, look after fire' as the men went off to do their secret business. Must have been a very important task to entrust it to the women! However we always associate the name with Irish lullabys that repeatedly (adnauseam) say Toora-loora-lay, which apparently means goodby or see you later.
The township's early economic prosperity was based around a timber mill until the 1870s. This was partly ensured by a contract with the Indian government to produce railway sleepers. The sleepers were made at Toora and conveyed to offshore ships by barges. Remnants of the loading facilities and tramlines can still be seen.
From this vantage point you can see the town of Toora below you with the main feature being the old Bonlac Factory building which just about finished the town when it closed down a few years ago.
The cache is a screw top container about 12cm in length and is once again heavily camouflaged.
