As of November 29, 2009 "Hello, New Milford" has become an independent geocache, no longer dependent on finding clues from other caches along the Housatonic Ridge Run from Gaylordsville, CT south to New Milford. The cache coordinates are N 41 34.336 W 073 25.532.
Enter the cemetery at N41 34.292 W 073 25.301 and park in the back at the base of Guarding Hill.
From there you can choose from two alternate routes. For those with an appetite for a workout bushwhack your way straight up to GZ. For those who would prefer a longer but less steep approach hug the side of the neighboring field (being careful to avoid touching the white electric fencing protecting the crops!) to the old trail head at N41 34.451 W 073 25.439. This trail is currently not well cared for, is extremely muddy when wet, and requires a common-sense left turn to GZ along the way.
Besides the cache your reward (if you want to call it that 
) is a seasonal view of downtown New Milford across Veteran's Bridge.
