Wanted to set a high standard with my first geocache. Hopefully I achieved it with this one. It’s a pretty strait forward geocache, ammo can hidden in the typical way. However, I gave it a high terrain rating because unless you are up for a long hike and an even longer swim (you are seriouly hardcore if you can do this!!! (enter disclaimer here)), you will need a boat to access. I highly recommend accessing the cache from the Southwest. Those of you familiar with Prineville Reservoir (or have access to google earth) will know exactly where I am talking about and why a Southwest approach is recommended. Short but steep climb to the cache. Great views, so bring a camera. Be careful, there are some serious drop offs. Being my first cache I made a classic rookie mistake and forgot to add a log book and a writing utensil. I wont be back here for a week or so (the boat is in the shop), so if the FTF beats me out there, hope you don't mind helping me out. Enjoy!!!
