Geocache Description:

This beautifully designed seat made in limestone ideally fits into our Curiosities of Derbyshire Series.
Placed on the side of the extremely steep hill that runs from the mill up to the village of Cressbrook. It was erected over one hundred years ago to commemorate the life of Mr Charles Edward Solly, manager of the nearby mill for 8 years and who died at the tender age of 33.The seat became neglected and in 1986 was renovated but is now showing the ravages of time.

The cache is a small cliptop box

It may be wise to park facing downhill.
