Avon Valley National Park - Cache 3
Situated in Avon Valley NationalPark. Panoramic views(take your camera). Which is situatied approx. 50km NE of Perth. Best route is to drive North from Perth along Gt Northern Hwy. Turn right at Chittering Brook rd ( Opposite the Chequers hotel)Go approx 11 kms then turn right at Wilson rd. Now drive 1.3 kms and turn left to Moondyne farm. Follow this gravel track to the end . You may want to back track 1 to 1.5 kms and follow your GPS from here. The Cache is a large transparent lunch box hidden at the base of a very large rock on the west side of the stream. If You are walking, be prepared for a long walk, as the terain is very hilly, cooler months of the year would be more preferable.You can drive to this cache, by 4 wheel drive, but this area is now off limits to 4 wheel drives.
