To celebrate the end of the Cricket World Cup (a bit of a dull affair) and the beginning of the 2007 county season, with Yorkshire CCC showing plenty of optimism for a successful campaign, we bring you news of two up and coming bowlers – well actually one on the way up and the other definitely ‘over the hill’. Here is a recent match report from a pre-season friendly.
Between them they bowled 66 overs, with 13 maidens and took 8 wickets. Andy (too much time on google and not enough practising googlies) took wickets at an average of 109, but with his off-breaks Matt managed an average of 5. The younger Matt took 2 more wickets than Andy and bowled 3 more maidens. In fact so accurate was Matt that more than 50% of his overs failed to yield a run and he conceded at less than 2 runs an over.
Calculate the statistics for each bowler to reveal the co-ordinates. You are looking for a 35mm film container. The published co-ordinates are for Bramhope Cricket ground and parking is available here (N53.53.140, W1.37.805), but if a match is in progress and this is full you can park a little further away in the public car park behind the pub (N53.53.131, W1.37.490). The cache is approx 0.33 miles from the published co-ordinates.
