An easy stroll through the Fyansford Common
While finding ‘Don’t Deviate too Far’ with our grandchildren and keen junior members of Team Ladava, Piper, almost six, Angus, four and Jedd, almost two, they took us to their nearby, favourite, secret spot and they were keen to place a ‘treasure chest’ there.
Park your car for ‘Don’t Deviate too Far’ (GC10QAK) S 38° 08.516 E144° 18.734 and walk for about ten minutes along the path meandering through the reserve, over a couple of bridges and you will find yourself in their ‘special spot’, a green and leafy dell beside a rippling stream.
You are looking for a 1 litre Sistema chest full of specially selected treasures from Nanny’s bag.
We suggest you DO NOT place Travel Bugs or other Geo valuables in this cache for it may only be temporary as the rippling stream our grandchildren are so familiar with during our extended drought is actually a river and when our rainfall returns to normal or there is a minor flood the cache may be washed away or become inaccessible but hey, who wants to discourage the next generation of Geocachers with such inconceivable, minor details.
