Every time I have driven by here, I've thought, "That place looks like it could use a cache." We finally stopped to investigate and found a pretty groovy spot.
The original Governor Sprague Bridge was built in 1921 to span the "Narrows," as the river is known. That bridge replaced a 100-foot covered bridge built in 1868. During the 1970s, the Governor Sprague Bridge was deemed unsound, and it was replaced by the bridge and roadway that is there today. The original bridge supports remain, as does some of the old roadway. It's a cool spot.
Container is standard size/type, and should be fairly easy to find. Please re-hide well to protect from kids who party in the area, and be stealthy if you encounter fishermen. It was pretty clean when we placed the cache, but CITO may be needed at times. Have fun!
