Geocache Description:


Today, the sign reads "Historic Commack"

Years ago, before the MaGalliard Extension was built to take you to I-69. we used to go out Jackson St and through Commack and around Jones Cemetery (now North of McGalliard extension at 800 W) to get to the interstate. At that time, the main thing in Cammack was a large old building on the south side of the road that housed an old fashioned hardware store. Across the street from that hardware store was a gas station. Today that gas station is a small restraunt that has two old gas pumps in front (or replicas) as well as an old style Phillips 66 sign. The cache will be found nearby.

The cache is a camoed prescription bottle. It contains only a log and a BUCK for the FTF. You will need to provide your own writing instrument. When you log your visit, tell us what the price of gas was when you first started driving.

***NOTE They removed the tree that this cache was in. It has been moved and it is now magnetic***
