Bisley Giant Stones Multi-Cache

The first two stages of the caches are nearly a cache and dash, whilst the final part takes you through a wooded area and across open fields
The annual dressing of the wells takes place in Bisley every Ascension day which is our first port of call. This ceremony was inaugarated by the Rev. Thomas Keble when he restored the well head in XXXX. (co ords as stated above)
A = The number of well spouts including the outside ones.
B = The last digit of the first date.
C = The first digit of the first date.
D = The first two numbers of the first date added together
Now we move onto the next location at N51 45.182 W002 08.469
the "Lock up" which was built as the village prison in XXXX to replace the previous prison, which had been located in the churchyard.
E = The last digit of the date when the prison was built
F = The third digit of the date in which the prison was in use
G = Minus 1660 from the date when the prison was restored, this will give you the final 3 digits required.

This now gives you the final cache co ords which is located on a footpath with beautiful views across the valley. Near to the cache site is the Giants stone, although only two small stones are left today. In 1883 the barrow had been removed (or nearly so) leaving some of stones which formed the chambers, especially a large stone known locally as the Giants stone. By 1920 this stone had also disappeared, OS map ref SO 9177 0611 will take you to the Giant stone site.
The cache is an ammo can and its original contents consist of - Huge selection of keyrings, reflectors, bottle openers, erasers, can holder, scoobies, sun glasses, ice scrapper, stress ball and a girls bag.
