Near but not in Lava Bed Monument.
Thank you CABass for keeping a lookout for this cache for me!
We were leaving the Lava Bed monument going south and decided to try and find another cache called "Big Bertha". We found a road at 41 degrees 40.655 N and 121 degrees 26.422 W. We thought this road would lead us to the cache so we started down it. After a few miles we decided that this was probably not the right road. The kids were starting to complain that we came down this road for no good reason so we decided to hide a cache. The cache is a storage container with some toy scissors, "geocache" lanyard, snake bracelet, coca cola keychain and a doily. That's right ladies a doily. It also started with a California poppy geocoin but I wrote the wrong number and can't log it in. Well we hope you travel down this road less traveled and now you have a reason. Visit the lava beds while you're at it. They are really interesting.
