SeaClean Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Glenister: 9 years...finally got the slug, snail and crawley bugs to a minimal amount! But after a muggle like this one had gone through enough is enough. So I have decided to shut it down. Phil the owner of SeaClean Car Detailing has sold his business and will turn over the business to a new owner at the end of July. Maybe someone will contact the new owner in August and get another cache up and running. Been fun!

How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

Located North of Florence, Oregon. Near Hwy 101 and Heceta Beach Road Junction.

One might call the building located near this cache a recycle of sorts. First built to service autos it is still doing so. But not with Ethel and Earl (My mother always thought that was cute!), but Patrick and Phil! They are brothers who are aware of the hide and look forward to friendly waves and smiles.

Hopefully you will find this an interesting hide, it is not in a bush or 35mm! Please open with care and replace as best as possible. Muggles abound on this busy corner, so use extra stealth!

ATTENTION: As you find this cache and others located on the Oregon Coast, please remember a few things about our wet climate and what it brings. Oregon receives an average of 80” of rain per year, bringing with it the bugs that love the damp. Oregon’s slug’s average up to 3” in length and the silly sow bugs love the dampness as well. Any cache in any state or around the world should be approached with gloves on. Also remember that the dryer states love to have spiders that climb into a dark dry space to hide. After finding hides that are full of water and with soggy logs, I as a Geocacher, take with me a couple of towels, clean zip bags, spare log sheets and pens. Helping each other out will keep geocaching a favorite sport to not just the hunter, but the owner as well.
