GAG10 - Gnomismatism Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

NeoDorset: Finally got to GZ today, the construction being mostly done, and found that the area has been remodelled. Not only is the cache gone but so is its hiding place, along with any good alternatives in the vicinity, leaving me with no alternative but to archive. Oh well, this one had a good run - more than 16 years!

Geocache Description:

This cache was placed for Go And Get Em 10!!! Therefore, it should not be found before 6 p.m. on Friday 27 April 2007.

The cache name originally conceived (Numismatism) was corrupted slightly to conform with GAG10 Gnomenclature. As the name suggests, this is a theme cache, but defined broadly enough to include not only coins but also other coin-like objects, even wooden nickels! Please try to keep trades within the broad theme. The cache has been hidden as close as possible to an appropriate institution; parking may be available (unofficially) very close to the cache during off hours, and stealth will be required at most times. I’ve initially stocked the cache with (almost) my entire geocaching coin collection, including a fascinating (I think!) variety of coins from around the world (and a few other coin-like objects), as follows:

Trinidad and Tobago (1997): 25 Cents (Leprechaun)
UK (2001): Two Pence (Easy As Pi)

There is also a Canadian twoonie – with the unusual design reproduced on the cache container – and, for the first to claim it, a new (unactivated) bronze Canada’s Capital Cachers geocoin.

PLEASE MAKE SURE THE CONTAINER IS NOT VISIBLE AFTER YOU REPLACE IT, BUT DON'T ADD A LOT OF EXTRA COVER OBJECTS - THAT JUST MAKES THE HIDE MORE CONSPICUOUS!
