Warning: Coyotes live in these woods. They are generally afraid of people, but as with any wild animal, caution should be taken to avoid a confrontation.
Tane Mahuta is the Polynesian god of the forest, birds and insects. He has chosen this cache site for one of his secret stashes, hoarding away countless treasures of the forest and beyond.
The recommended starting point for this hunt is from the Trammel Fossil Park's parking lot. It is no longer accessible from the school's parking lot, this is now a construction area. There is no need to bushwack. Enjoy the nice trails here. You are looking for a 1 liter plastic jar, camoed.
**The listed coordinates are based on an average of four readings, but my GPSr couldn't achieve better than ~30' accuracy today. Please feel free to post your coords if you feel they are more accurate**
