Geocache Description:

This cache is hidden at a little known park/beach in the Town of Blue Mountains.

Peasmarsh has a great little interpretive trail with info about local history, geology and flora and fauna. Please take time to meander through this web of trails. Watch fish swimming up the Indian Brook to lay eggs. And in the summer, bring your suit and go for a swim. This was once military land. It was sold to Ed Hurst in the 1850’s.It was then sold to the Marsh family, a founding family of nearby Clarksburg. Mrs. Marsh was a renouned naturalist and writer.

Please stay on the trails as much as possible. The cache is only a few steps on the trail. Look for a small Lock N Lock container.

Parking option#1: Small parking lot off HWY26 at Indian Brook @ west end of the park.

Parking option#2: Big parking lot @ south/east end of Peasmarsh Park. Look for sign indicating trail head at NW corner of the lot.
