Geocache Description:

This will take you to "Jakes Point". It offers a dramatic veiw of the landslide, denseforest, hill prairie, open grassland and rolling hills of Illinois.

From this point you can veiw the landslide area across the valley. A steep scarp with nearly vertical walls has formed in the loess. Down slope is a hummocky surface with tension cracks (nearly vertical fractures) that indicate the material is gradually moving down slope.
Earth materials continue to move downslope as panther creek erodes earth material from the base of the slope.

To log this earthcache you must answer the following questions and post a picture of your favorite veiw at "Jakes Point" with the landslide in the back ground.
What may of helped trigger the landslide? What is the scarp? What is the toe? You must read the information at the point to get your answers.
Email them to me and don't post the answers on your log.
