Geocache Description:

We are looking forward to a fun-filled weekend of Geocaching oriented activities. Join us at this beautiful Provincial campground along the amazing Bay of Fundy. Camping facilities will be on a first come first serve basis, please add this to your watchlist as we will be updating information on a regular basis.



What: An Atlantic Geocaching Event hosted by regional members.
Where: Blomidon Provincial Park, Blomidon NS
When: Aug 24- 26 2007
Feel free to simply drop into the Group Camp Site and visit ... there will be cachers hanging around all weekend if you'd like to stop by and chat.

There has been a HAT challenge issued to those attending Geofest. Use your imagination and create the most beautiful or the most garish or the most whatever you want hat and wear it Saturday night. Please keep it family and geocaching oriented!! (see NSSouthpaw for details!!)

There will be several items being offered as "door prizes":
the ACGA has given us some of their GARMIN prize kits and there will be a full set of ACGA provincial coins included in the door prizes as well.

EastRiver has been good enough to offer 2 of his coveted walking sticks as prizes ... details on this will be revealed later.

IF YOU ARE STILL INTERESTED IN A CAMPING RESERVATION IN THE GROUP SITE, SEND US AN E-MAIL NOW. THE NUMBERS ARE GETTING UP THERE.

Weekend Schedule:
Friday
- 1600h-2000h Registration: with Finn'n'Pepe
- 2000h Meet ‘n Greet Social at the group site: hosted by Canuck Thistles.

Saturday
- 0700h-0900h Late event registration: with Finn'n'Pepe
Continental breakfast available.
Opening of kiosks and information centres.
3 GEEKS Outdoor Store (0900ish)
ACGA info booth
Event & Kid Activities: with paulandstacey.

-1800h Saturday night activities begin:
1800h - Door prizes
1900h - Corn Boil & Pot Luck
Dusk - Campfire presented by Bluenose Climbers and 4fitz hosted by the NS Geofest Crew

Sunday
- pack up and Farewells


The Geofest Info Centre will be staffed Friday night from 1600h-2000h and Saturday 0700h-1600h.

PLEASE NOTE: Food (except for the Pot Luck) at GEOFEST is being supplied by the Geofest Crew. There will be a donation jar available to cover these expenses. There will also be soft drinks and water for a nominal fee.
