The city of Georgetown has the distinction of being the oldest
existing community in Arkansas. The first resident settled here in
1789, 14 years before the territory became a part of the United
States. It was ceded by France in 1803 as a part of the Louisiana
Purchase. I hope you enjoy your trip to this historical old
