Crouching Tiger, Hidden Panther Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

bnpkidz: Stopped by tonight to let the dog run around and the area leading up to the cache is much worse condition than when we first hid the cache. We really do not want to bring cachers here as this seems to be an area currently in a transitional phase. Thanks to all who found and signed the log.

Geocache Description:

This cache is located at the Brentnell Fields on the campus of Ohio Dominican University. You will want to enter the general parking area near Panther Stadium, ironically named Panther Parkway. If you follow the entrance around the back of the stadium towards the tennis courts, you will be in the visitor parking area. If you pass the sign that says decal parking only, you have gone too far.

This area behind the cache location will be developed by the University and created into multi-use fields for soccer and field hockey. For now, there is a vast expanse of space that is perfect for exploring or bringing the geo-pooch for a nice romp.

The terrain can be tricky and this will definitely be a slippery area after a good rain. The first few to find will undoubtedly see our traction marks as we struggled to maintain our foothold. We also did not have on our hiking boots, so please make sure you wear appropriate footwear! It is probably not a good idea to attempt this cache at night.

The cache itself is hidden in a typical location and you will not need to search any underbrush or fallen log piles. Please try to make use of the natural camo when you re-hide, although the container is relatively invisible until your are right on top of it it. There are two angles of approach, and one will lead you right to it while the other might give you some better perspective on where it could possibly be. Sometimes it is best to survey an area before going straight at it.

Original cache contents include a FTF prize, a couple of bugs from a cache we recently archived, and assorted geo-trinkets and the like.

Happy Hunting!
