On a very narrow road to or from Lafayette..
I used to drive this road every day for about 5 years from 92-97 when I was working as a line cook at a place named "Tourelle". That restaurant is long gone now having closed in Feb of 98. I left there mid year in 97 suffering from a severe case of job burnout. I completely changed careers and went into the techie world working for a medical device company.
Anyway, back to that road. I'd been driving it to and from work daily back when I had a more sporty car (Celica). It is one of those narrow roads that is fun to drive in a sporty little car. I placed this cache at what would be the summit of the road, just before dropping down into Lafayette. Oddly enough I didn't have very good covereage, only locking onto 3 birds well and maybe another 1/2 of a bird. As usual, I was using my Garmin 12XL, so accuracy at the time was about 20 ft. It is obviously not in the roadway. The cache is a sign only cache and is too tiny to include anything more than initials and a date. Elevation according to Garmin 60 CSx is 1001 ft.
Grats to donvsop for FTF!
