Ånuglo har et areal på 3868 dekar og er den østligste øyen i kommunen, ved innløpet til Hardangerfjorden.
Øyen er et enestående naturområde og på grunn av kombinasjonen mild vinter, varm sommer og næringsrike bergarter er her et interessant og verneverdig planteliv. I Veavika i sør er det et skogreservat med blant annet storvokst barlind og kristtorn.
Ånuglo er også et viktig båtutfartsområde med fine og lune naturhavner. De to mest brukte områdene er bukten innenfor Svinaneset på nordsiden av øyen og Skipavågen på sørsiden av øyen. Det går sti mellom de to vikene. Lettest atkomst til cachen er på sti fra Bekkjarvika på nordsiden av Ånuglo, eller på sti gjennom naturreservatet fra Vedavika. Ånuglo covers an area of 3,868 decares and is the easternmost island in the municipality, lying at the entrance to the Hardangerfjord.
The island’s nature is unique. The combination of mild winters, warm summers, and nourishing rock formations gives life to a variety of interesting vegetation, which requires protection. A forest reserve in the south, at Veavika, includes large trees such as yew and holly.
Ånuglo is also an important destination for boaters, with fine sheltered natural harbours. The two most popular areas are the coves at Svinaneset at the north end of the island and Skipavågen at the south end of the island. A trail connects the two coves. An information sign, toilets, tables and benches are located at Bekkjarvika at the north end of the island.
