Geocache Description:

Visit the Westmond Unit of the Pend Oreille Wildlife Management Area.

Claude Fletcher and his wife raised a son, ran a few head of cattle and cut hay on this old farm for many years. Idaho Fish & Game acquired the wetland portion of the place and now use it to raise ducks and geese. Bring your binoculars to zoom in on waterfowl and a nice, but distant, view of Baldy Mountain.

Turn east off of Highway 95 and travel 2.5 miles on East Dufort Road to get to the area. Look for the "Dufort Mall" on the west side of the highway. This transfer station earned its legendary name years ago when it was open 24/7 for dumpster diving. The "attendants" would assist you in unloading to get dibs on salvage rights.
