Redcastle is a picturesque little village on the north side of the Beauly Firth, a few miles west of
Inverness.
The castle at Redcastle, so named from the colour of the stone of which it is built, has suffered serious neglect. It is now uninhabitable and visitors are warned not to enter the building as it is unsafe. It was once home of the Mackenzies of Redcastle. To avoid taxes a recent owner, not a Mackenzie, took the roof off, and within forty years it became derelict.
The views across the Firth from Redcastle are stunning and keen birdwatchers can see many kinds
of sea, shore and wading birds. It is also popular with fishermen.
This puzzle cache will take you on a very short walk around Redcastle.
The cache co-ordinates will take you to limited parking at the waterfront. Start your search here and then walk slightly further up the road.

1. The number on the circular disk on the telephone pole beside the phone box? = A
2. How many porthole windows on the gable end of the house? = B
3. Find the large stone with words engraved. How many words? = C
4. Find the post box. The label has a "Postbox number" IV* ***. The second number = D.
5. Find the mill wheel. How many words engraved? = E.
6. Find the oar on the wall. How many letters in the word = F.
7. The oar also has a year = 19GH
